Attorney Joe Taormina frequently represents both contractors, subcontractors, material providers, and homeowners in disputes stemming from construction projects.

Contractors/Material Providers: Keep in mind that Florida Statutes requires strict compliance with the timelines for sending Notices to Owners, recording liens, and filing lawsuits.

If you were not hired by the property owner, you must send a Notice to Owner to the owner of the property within 45 days of your first day on the job or supplying materials.

Whether or not you were hired by the owner or another contractor, you must record your Lien within 90 days of your last day on the job.

If you receive a Notice of Contest of Lien or a Summons, you should call Attorney Joe Taormina to discuss the time requirements and your options.

We offer a variety of services to Contractors and Material providers, such as:

  • Preparing and sending Notices to Owners;
  • Preparing Contractor’s Final Payment Affidavits;
  • Preparing and recording Liens;
  • Preparing and recording Satisfactions and Releases of Liens;
  • Preparing and partial releases and others;
  • Sending Demand Letters for unpaid balances/liens;
  • Filing lawsuits to enforce (foreclose) a lien.

Homeowners: Unfortunately, sometimes a contractor does not fulfill its end of the deal and may record a lien anyway (not our clients I’m sure). Liens may be unenforceable if the contractor:

  • Breaches the contract;
  • Records a fraudulent lien;
  • Records a lien for work that was not completed;
  • Performs poor work;
  • Abandons a project…

Homeowners have several options to dispute a lien or a demand for payment and should call Attorney Joe Taormina to discuss the details of their situation. The phone consultation is free, you will speak directly to the attorney, and only takes a few minutes.

SEE WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

" Attorney Quattrochi was my third attorney. None of my other attorneys were able to convince the insurance company to accept liability. Attorney Quattrochi acted quickly and aggressively to secure a settlement. He also negotiated my medical bill and reduced his fee to increase the value of my case. "

SEE WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

" Attorney Quattrochi was there for me every step of the way. I was with another attorney before attorney Quattrochi and the different is real. He handled everything from the lien from the other attorney to the Personal Injury Protection lawsuits. My case settled for $47,000 and the results exceeded my expectations. "

SEE WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

" Attorney Quattrochi represented me after my 2nd auto accident. He was readily available to answer all my questions. He refused to accept the insurance company’s position that my injuries were preexisting. He tracked down all of my medical records from both accidents and did his job to highlight the new injuries. When I was feeling down about the initial offer he made me feel optimistic and eventually secured the full policy limits. He handled everything from the Property damage to the lawsuit against my own insurance company to pay for my medical bills. "
